Certified Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. You will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, where your expertise in aseptic technique and medical terminology will be essential in supporting critical care services, including IV infusion and inhalation therapies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Utilize aseptic technique to compound sterile products, including IV infusions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles to ensure optimal patient service.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals.
• Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe medication practices within the hospital setting.
• Stay updated on pharmacy policies, procedures, and relevant medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and familiarity with IV infusion processes.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy and patient care.
• Experience in a hospital or critical care environment is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
