Medical-Surgical Nurse Responsibilities
As a Medical-Surgical Nurse at Rang Healthcare, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. This includes evaluating medical information, providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients, preparing, administering, and recording prescribed medications, changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
You will also be responsible for adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed and interpreting and recording measurements. In addition, you will monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and maintain accurate records of patient data.
Requirements & Qualifications
- BLS-AHA certification
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts, days
