About the Position
The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, with active New Mexico state certification/license and BLS from AHA. They should be able to provide skilled treatment of functional mobility, motor function, muscular strengthening, sensation, wounds, ambulation, balance, social, and environmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Following an appropriate plan of care that includes measurable functional goals while considering patient's psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Providing clear documentation that meets APTA guidelines and billing for appropriate charges in a timely manner.
- Performing family/caregiver/patient education to increase independence upon discharge.
