The successful candidate will work collaboratively with parents, students, and staff to identify, evaluate, and remediate oral communication disorders, including articulation, voice, fluency, and language issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Prevention and Identification: Provide consultation services, in-service training, and collaborate with parents and parent groups to prevent and identify potential communication disorders.
- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct data collection through standardized measures, interpret results, write reports, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy services.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of students, provide direct remediation within educational settings, offer pull-out services, consult on academic and social issues, and maintain accurate records of student progress.
Requirements
- An Illinois Certificate with Speech and Language Pathology endorsement (Type 73 or Type 10 or Type Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Speech Language Pathologist License).
- A Master's degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
