In collaboration with Department Heads, s / he provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and is the primary back up for front managers in their absence. The House Supervisor plans for, leads, coordinates, and facilitates the provision of quality care and service from a hospital-wide, shift-specific perspective in a manner that fosters accomplishment of the specific Department’s goals and objectives. The House Supervisor is responsible for issues related to staffing, patient / family relations, risk management, clinical coordination, patient placement, public affairs and communications, evaluation and mentoring.
