Position: QA Testing Lead
Location: Raleigh, NC 27615 (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary:
As a Test Lead, the person will develop a comprehensive test plan and strategy for the project. This involves understanding the project requirements, defining the scope of testing, and determining the appropriate test methodologies and techniques to be used. Testing is all about finding defects and ensuring that the software meets quality standards. Having strong attention to detail is crucial to identify and document bugs accurately.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and manage the testing plan, including defining the testing scope, objectives, and timelines
Test Case Development: Lead the creation of test cases and test scripts based on functional requirements and use cases.
Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (business analysts, developers, stakeholders) to ensure testing aligns with the project goals.
Test Execution: Oversee the execution of various testing phases (e.g., unit, integration, user acceptance) to ensure the system works as expected.
Issue Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and track defects, collaborate with teams to resolve issues, and provide regular status reports on testing progress.
Quality Assurance: Ensure testing activities meet organizational standards and ensure the Banner system functions correctly in the higher ed environment.
Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and scenarios
Coordinating: Work with business and testing teams to complete UAT
Executing: Oversee the operational aspects of engineering tests, including test case execution and regression checks
Reporting: Write, implement, and report status for system test cases
Managing: Identify and manage risks, and escalate issues to project management
Supporting: Provide resources and support to the testing team, and resolve issues by reaching out to development
Leading: Guide other testers through the process and supervise their performance
Defining: Define UAT entry and exit criteria
