Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to established procedures and protocols.
- Prepare standards, reagents, and quality control samples.
- Handle and log various sample types (e.g., air, water, milk, and vegetables) in Laboratory Management Systems (LMS).
- Conduct pre-sample preparations for testing.
- Utilize computer applications such as MS Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Education: Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related STEM field.
- Experience:
- Minimum: No experience required.
- Preferred: 2 years of Chemistry Technician experience and/or sample collection experience, ideally within the utility industry.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of analytical testing or environmental sample collection.
- Background in environmental work is a plus.
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear facilities/plants.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Work Environment:
