We are hiring a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to support operations in a pharmaceutical warehouse environment. This hands-on role involves inspecting incoming materials and in-process products to ensure compliance with cGMP, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines. New hires will be trained and certified on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming and in-process inspections of packaging components and filled pharmaceutical products (vials, syringes, etc.).
- Conduct manual visual inspections using AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling standards.
- Use tools like calipers and micrometers to inspect and measure components.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and evaluate raw materials and packaging components.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 sampling plans, and client-specific SOPs.
- Participate in walk-throughs, GEMBAs, and audits; assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Document findings, support CAPAs, change controls, and deviations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing to resolve inspection or shipment discrepancies.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, use PPE (goggles, respirator, fume hood), and follow safe work practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or higher (MS/PhD considered overqualified).
- Experience: 1–3 years in a GMP-regulated environment; pharma or medical device QA preferred.
- Strong understanding of cGMP, AQL inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with visual inspections, packaging QA, and defect identification.
- Familiar with tools like calipers, micrometers, and component drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to SAP, iLearn, QualiPSO, STARLIMS is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Role is fully indoors in a warehouse environment.
- Respirator certification required (training will be provided on-site).
- Must pass a vision test and visual inspection certification for syringes/vials.
