This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas tax incentives.
Essential Functions
- Respond to IT Support taskings from management and Communications Systems engineering.
- Provide support to the IT training programs for all users on the RTS networks.
- Help to incorporate a stringent security posture into all IT operations.
- Track and report project status to Communication Systems deadlines.
- Ensure network users are in compliance with DA PAM 25-2-6 requirements regarding certifications utilizing the Army Training & Certification Tracking System (ATCTS).
- Manage the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) network access request process.
- Facilitate updates, formats and delivery of IT related CDRLs.
- Compile professional documentation on all aspects of computer and network management, including equipment and network specifications and configurations, hardware and software baselines.
- Assist with the disposition of IT assets when required.
- Assist with the declassification of IT assets when required.
- Provide premier customer support and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports and studies as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficient with Adobe Software Applications.
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills including report preparation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of business unit systems, operations and diverse information technologies such as Maximo Asset Management System.
- Must be familiar with the fundamental Cybersecurity Training and Certification program requirements - DA PAM 25-2-6.
- Must be familiar with Contract Requirements Lists (CDRLs) – DD Form 1423.
- Must be familiar with Pearson VUE Computer Based Training.
- Project Support - Must be able to document and communicate status to supervisors, peers and provide factual support.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business management or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of IT experience as reference above required.
- Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain a USAG-KA driver’s license.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
