This position is assigned to the Eastern Range which includes Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Patrick Space Force Base, and Kennedy Space Center, Florida
Position is not eligible for telework
Essential Functions
- Provides leadership and direction of assigned personnel for the operation, maintenance, repair and upgrade of Eastern Range (ER) Ground Based Range safety (GBRS) systems including Command, Data Handling and Range Safety
- Provides customer service and support to internal/external customers for data products, maintenance activities, system upgrades and operational support
- Oversees and maintain Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Qualification training/documentation of assigned personnel. Ensures a trained and qualified staff is available to perform all required operations
- Responsible for staff and system scheduling to include: work assignments, employee vacations, overtime assignments, shift rotations, system relocations, corrosion control, property control, safety actions, facility actions, etc.
- Assists employees with problem resolutions; authors and conducts performance evaluations; maintains system and personnel performance documentation; conducts hiring interviews and disciplinary actions; relays interpretation of and enforces company policies
- Monitors GBRS system performance during real-time launch activities. Provides leadership in identifying deviations from expected or required performance
- Assists Engineering personnel to identify, develop, design and implement modification and upgrades to GBRS systems
- Actively contributes in the development of short and long range strategic objectives
- Actively interfaces with customers to develop GBRS requirements
- Leads the continuous process improvement efforts for GBRS systems
- Ensures department productivity and quality goals are met
- Ensures adequate operational spares, supplies, materials and consumables are available to perform and achieve O&M tasks, objectives and requirements
- Reviews, generates and/or coordinates technical documentation for operational requirements, minor modifications, and sustainment/modernization efforts
- Participates in technical contract proposals and technical interchange meetings
- Provides Basis of Estimate (BOE) for Engineering proposals
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting of GBRS hardware status changes and reporting of launch anomalies
- Conducts meetings, briefings and/or presentations to coordinate GBRS Section activities or disseminate information
- Attends pre and post mission meetings, briefings and working groups associated with the GBRS systems
- Coordinates the operational use and maintenance of assigned controlled areas
- Vigorously pursues initiatives to improve the quality, efficiencies, and timeliness of LISC enterprise solutions, products or services
- Innovates process improvement oriented towards ensuring contract compliance and fulfillment while devising and implementing process improvement methods derived from internal and external integrated process team actions
- Develops and integrates LISC enterprise concepts and recommendations to capitalize on Cross Range best practices, efficiencies and standardization

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five (5) or more years of electronic technician experience with the operations and maintenance of computer network or Radio Frequency systems
- Five (5) or more years of leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications
- Five or more years of Eastern Range Systems/Operations experience, preferred
- Knowledge and application of Data Handling/Range Safety/Command Destruct system architectures and tracking methodology, preferred
- Experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements and represented personnel, preferred
- Experience with Air Force safety, security and property policies/procedures, preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Position requires local travel
- The flexibility to work frequent non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
