Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the exploration team to develop resources and reserve opportunities
- Geologic and geotechnical logging of Greenfields exploration core programs
- Assist Geotech team with core processing (cutting/photography/sampling)
- Assist in the preparation of sample submissions to assay laboratories
- Data entry of geological logs and spatial data into AcQuire; validation and quality control of all exploration data to ensure a robust exploration database
- Ensure data integrity and implementation of QAQC procedures
- Data synthesis, compilation, and geologic interpretation to support targeting
- Support drill program design and safe execution of drill program
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Geology, required
- Prior work experience at a mining/exploration operation, highly regarded
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office and AcQuire, required
- Experience with Leapfrog, not required but beneficial
- 1-5 years of relevant experience in exploration, preferred
- Experience in Carlin-type deposits, preferred
- Proficiency in core logging, required
