Operations Manager

Job Description:

Based in Union City, Ohio, the Operations Manager will collaborate with our leadership team, supervisors and technicians, to develop and carry out strategies and plans to optimize success for our company among our Mid-West location. The Operations Manager position provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Participates in the hiring and training of site employees.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of facility staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Manages discipline and termination of site employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain inventory levels adjusting to meet turn goals and customer needs.
• Development, communication, and implementation of effective strategies and processes both short-term and long-term increasing company efficiency and risk management.
• Development and tracking of budgets, equipment plans, key performance indicators, and key metrics.
• Collaborate with the sales team to increase market range and look for new markets.
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure adherence to all company best practices, operations processes, quality standards, safety standards as well as compliance with governing bodies.
• Build company image by collaborating with customers, employees, suppliers, and industry organizations enforcing ethical business practices
• Evaluate each current technician within the Rangeline Group to establish their level.
• Minimizes our exposure and risk on project
• Work with Safety Director to create SOPs regarding safe work practices and procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
• Demonstrated ability to make data-based decisions through analytics focused leadership.
• Ability to hire, coach, and mentor groups and individuals.
• Strong Continuous Improvement mentality.
• Working knowledge of OSHA & EPA Regulations.
• Proven record of safety training and maintenance of standards.
• Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field of study preferred and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Active and current Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in underground utilities

Experience:

• Water tapping: 5 years (Preferred)
• underground utilities: 4 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
