What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Ranger Construction?
Ranger Construction Company is a commercial general contractor specializing in upfits, renovations, and maintenance of office, industrial, and medical properties in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Our Project Coordinators work closely with our Project Managers, Senior Managers, and Project Superintendents.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate, organize, and manage communications and documentation relating to our projects
- Provide overall project support to Project Managers, Project Superintendents, customers, and subcontractors before, during, and after projects
- Set up and manage project files in construction software program (Spectrum) and on company-wide server
- Communicate daily via email and phone with Project Managers, Project Superintendents, subcontractors, and customers
- Generate proposals, project contracts, subcontracts, and change orders
- Create and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project
- Communicate project meeting minutes and updates
- Assist Project Managers with submittals and project material orders
- Organize punch lists and distribute to project team
- Collect and prepare close out documentation
- Generate project pay applications, invoices, and related documentation, and assist with AR collections
- Assist with office administrative roles, including but not limited to, answering phones, accepting deliveries, processing mail, filing, and setting up meetings
- Cross-train with other Project Coordinators and office staff
Qualifications and Requirements:
- College degree preferred, experience in commercial construction or construction plan review a plus
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Project
- Possess knowledge of AIA software (contracts, change orders, and pay applications)
- Must have accounting experience or education, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, open office environment
- Capable of interrelating with personnel at all levels of construction activity
- Must follow company and client policies and procedures
