Therefore, you focus on designing outreach efforts for underserved and historically marginalized populations, particularly BIPOC and immigrant populations as well as customer facing accessibility barriers, with services, collections and programs designed to meet their needs.

  • You are a connector, working with partners and organizations to bring people to the library and in turn bringing library program to community groups in collaboration with our seven branches.
  • You collaborate with your team to develop and set outside programming and experiences that best serves your community.
  • You oversee our Anythink in Motion team, managing the operations of this fleet to bring the library to our remote communities. You will be in charge of coordinating the routine maintenace, repairs, upgrades and related collections and service.
  • You have a mind for safety. As a back-up bookmobile driver, you perform all the safety checks to prepare the bookmobile for the road. At each destination, you check off your safety processes to ensure a safe landing and launching of our 36-foot vessel.
  • You will manage the Anythink in Motion mobile services, including everyday operations such as keeping things organized, developing a calendar of community engagement activities and staffing levels to meet our customer service expectations.
  • You will be on the design team to envision and then manage our retail / express library strategy, bringing library services to underserved neighborhoods in Adams County.

  • You continually train and develop your staff in areas of customer service, product knowledge, collection management, and visual merchandizing.

  • You ensure compliance with all library policies and procedures.
  • You analyze your library's statistics, market segments and identify new strategies for maximizing results, reporting information to staff and upper management.

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of management or leadership experience.
  • You have been an integral part of a business, library, or nonprofit organization's success sto
  • You have a bachelor's degree or Masters of library science degree (preferred).
  • You have a good driving record and strong sense of responsibility to drive the 36ft. bookmobile and the van (To be eligible for a district driver position you must pass a drug test)
  • You are up for a physically demanding job as you load and unload books for the bookmobile
  • You are tech savvy. You are computer literate including a working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, online resources and expert searching capabilities for internet to
  • You feel comfortable presenting and answering questions in Spanish.
