This role starts part-time, with the potential to grow into a full-time position and additional job responsibilities for the right person.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Administrative Assistant to support our catering operations. The ideal candidate will assist in event logistics, manage office tasks, and ensure our team has everything it needs for successful events. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with the catering team, especially the chefs, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain filing systems, both digital and physical
- Keep schedules, documents, and event details organized
- Assist with staffing coordination and scheduling
- Answer and professionally handle emails and phone calls from clients and vendors
- Help plan and organize event logistics, ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Pull and organize items for events, ensuring everything is ready and stored properly
- Work proactively with the team to coordinate event details and ensure smooth execution
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing client inquiries and needs promptly
- Perform other duties as skills exist, such as menu creation or social media assistance, depending on the candidate’s strengths

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent customer support skills with a friendly demeanor
- Proficient in data entry, office management tasks, and familiar with computerized office systems such as Excel, the Google Suite, Apple Suite, Canva, and social media platforms
- Strong communicator with excellent writing skills
- Background in hospitality is a plus, but not a must
- Problem-solver and self-starter – able to work efficiently without constant direction
- Valid driver’s license – occasional event-related errands or deliveries may be needed
Schedule & Pay:
- Starts part-time, with potential for full-time and additional job growth
- $20/hour, with potential for more responsibility and growth
- Some evening and weekend availability required for events
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
