What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Technician position at Rankin Children's Group?
This position is responsible for collecting, performing, reporting and interpreting all levels of tesing in the medical laboratory. PREVIOUS LAB EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!
- Drawing labs, stores test sample for necessary procedures and reports out to ordering physician.
- Prepares samples for analysis.
- Monitor procedures and tests in the lab, utilizing laboratory equipment to look for abnormal results.
- Analyze the chemical content of the samples, matching blood that is to be used in transfusions.
- Screens and processes incoming patients.
- Cleans and maintains laboratory facility.
- Must have a CMA certification or be a MLT to be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
