Ranney School seeks an Upper School Digital Art and Art History teacher for the 2025 - 2026 School Year. Our Visual Arts Department offers introductory and advanced courses across many traditional and digital media. We also offer AP Studio Art and AP Art History. Courses in the arts (visual and/or performing) are required for graduation.
We seek a teacher who can teach to all skill levels across various traditional and new media but with particular expertise in digital art and art history.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Teach five sections, including AP Art History and digital arts courses such as photography, graphic design, video, and animation. This role may also include Art 9, our art foundations course, or a middle school art class as needed.
- Mentor students in advisory and co-curricular activities, participate in division and department meetings, and serve in various supervisory roles
- Facilitate an offering in the Upper School’s “Maymester” program, an experiential education program that takes place over the last two weeks of the school year
- Holds an advanced degree in visual arts, education, or a related field, with high school teaching experience.
- Cultivates a positive, inclusive classroom where students explore and express their creativity.
- Engages collegially with colleagues and interacts with students and parents in a kind, positive, and productive manner.
- Has the expertise, flexibility, and enthusiasm to teach middle school art when needed.
