The Maintenance Technician is a full-time staff position. The scope of the job includes. Interior and exterior cleanup in physical emergencies, i.e. hurricane situations, is also required of all team members. A maintenance team member will have duties that are outside of their specialty: event setup, unloading trucks, assisting a different specialty, for example: HVAC or plumbing specialist also, helping with traffic assistance, assisting RE Faculty/Staff/Students/Parents at a moments notice, or helping a fellow team member with numerous tasks momentarily. Daily directions for this employee’s tasks will come from the campus supervisor. Employees of the RE Facilities Department are team players, not individuals. We have a common focus on the immediate needs of the school first: safety, asset protection, and reputation protection.
Essential Duties Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair, clean, special events.
- Provide reports of preventative maintenance work.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations on repairs and problems.
- Provide services for events.
- Working the schedule that the campus leader provides.
- Must be available to help secure and protect the campus prior to major storms.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years of work experience
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Working knowledge of powered tools, tape measure, paint, drywall repair, mechanical familiarity, etc.
- Computer literacy: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, basic understanding of Web Searches and Email.

Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and will be conscientious about daily performance and assignments as they will be held accountable for updated work orders.

Employee must always be able to communicate and work together as a team with all the members of RE Facilities in a positive constructive respectful manner.
- Relationships with Others: The employee works effectively and relates well with others including superiors, school employees, and vendors. The employee maintains a professional appearance and manner in dealing with others and works to maintain effective working relationships.
- Employee is to wear school issued uniform, appropriate safety gear, and display proper OSHA regulation techniques when working in the field at all times.

- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noise which may require the use of ear protection. Use of gloves, ear and eye protection is required for some duties. Some duties are outdoors, with sun exposure. Other areas may include mechanical, electrical, or storage rooms, attics, crawl spaces, general construction and landscaping environments. Interior and exterior cleanup in hurricane situations is also required.
