- Attendance and timeliness
- Ensuring that all dishes are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, and cooking standards.
- Keeping equipment clean, and in excellent working condition.
- Maintaining a positive work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a profession kitchen in New York City.
- Knife skills and general knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Friendly, outgoing, energetic team player with a positive attitude.
- Ability to think quickly, and multi task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to take direction and execute.
- Must work nights and weekends.
- Culinary certificate degree a plus.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours and lift up to 40lbs.
- Must be able to arrive on time and work a full shift, including break down.
- Ability to communicate in English, knowledge of Spanish and French a plus.
