What are the responsibilities and job description for the Victim Advocate position at Rape Crisis of Cumberland County?
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is a grant funded position through the Department of Justice, this position may be extended based on grant funding. The advocate will be working directly with the cold case sexual assault unit at the Fayetteville Police Department.
Rotating weekend on-call schedule is mandatory
Must pass a background check
Must have own vehicle
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
¨ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of victim issues
¨ Serve as community liaison to community committees, agencies, District Attorney office and task forces as appropriate
¨ Assist in the development of agency materials and brochures
¨ Assist LE in victim needs
¨ Research State Laws pertaining to SA
¨ Maintain procedure for program evaluations
¨ Create and maintain program information for use in reports
¨ Act as an advocate, working with clients and accepting on-call duties as needed
¨ Serve walk-in clients on an as needed basis
¨ Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
