Job Details
General Information : Level II Trauma Center / Rural South Dakota
Types of Patients : Heavy trauma population – Falls, MVAs, GSW, Stabbings, etc
Will scan throughout various areas - Inpatient / ED / Outpatient, will do higher level scans such as Angiograms, etc.
Scans per Day : ED – 60-70 per 24 hrs, Inpatient - Varies, Outpatient – Approx. 50 / day
Equipment Types : Siemens only – 4 Scanners within the department
Job Requirements
Required Certifications : BLS
ARRT-CT
Education Requirements : Must graduate from a Radiology Program that will allow them to sit for (ARRT)(R) (CT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification with advanced certification in Cat Scan
No State licensure is required
Schedule Information
Varied schedule : Discussed during interview with Leadership
Primarily work night shifts
Weekend rotation : weekend rotation, discussed during interview
No call required
Overtime optional
Holiday Expectations : holiday rotation required
Approval of time off? Manager conducts interviews

Support within the Department : There is always another CT Tech on with you 24 / 7
