Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS Job Details Ortho Neuro Surgical (ONS) specialty position at Monument Health, Rapid City Hospital. 64 beds spread across 2 floors. Mixed acuity unit with Intermediate Care, Tele, and MedSurg patients. Patient types include surgical, ortho, neuro / spine, and general medical cases. Job Requirements 1 year of nursing experience required for Intermediate / Stepdown Level RN. Must have EPIC experience for first-time travelers. Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility. Permanent staff must wait 1 full year before returning as a traveler. Schedule Information 6-week schedules with weekend rotation. Travelers could be scheduled for up to 4 out of the 6 weekends. No mandatory call time, but may be placed on call for extra shifts if staffing allows. Holiday RTO requests must be made prior to offer; no time off during blackout dates from August 1-18. Unit Specific Information Patient ratios : RN 1 : 4 for PCU, CNA 1 : 8. Pod structure for the unit with 2 RNs and 1 Nurse Aide per pod. Additional Details Scrub Color : Navy Blue Free Parking Audits are done monthly for Pre / Post pain scoring; must meet 90% compliance with audits.
