ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support the nursing team as needed with duties that do not require a licensed nurse.
- Present and discuss non-prescription skin care products and other non-medical information as directed by the physician.
- Print the notes for the next clinic day.
- Clean and prepare medical instruments.
- Clean and prepare exam rooms.
- Stock exam rooms.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience in customer service.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of office policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, attendance, HIPAA and personal appearance.
- Knowledge and skill of how to operate office equipment and computers.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, however will train the right candidate.

- Recognition of physical exam process and ability to accurately record exam details.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively with focus on patient care and improving patient flow.
- Professionalism and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families.
- Ability to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Combination of office and exam settings.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Work may require hand dexterity for computer keyboarding, the telephone and other office machine operations.
- Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling & assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Sitting/standing for extended periods of time and must be able to view computer screens for extended periods of time.
- Work may be stressful at times.
- Interaction with others is constant, may be interruptive and will require the ability to multitask.
- May be involved with dealing with direct patient contact, and with ill patients.
- Must maintain confidentiality.
