Role Description
As a CNC Machinist/Milling Process Technician specializing in milling machines and applications, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. You will quote, program, and setup new parts and develop processes in CNC Vertical and Horizontal Milling machines. Must be able to accurately determine cycle times, fixturing, and tooling requirements from print and work with vendors on tooling needs, layout and setup CNC machines for operation, and inspect from start thru first piece inspection. Reporting to the Process Engineer, your role is vital in ensuring efficient manufacturing processes. Your core skills in blueprint reading and CNC machining will be essential, while your premium expertise in Fanuc and GD&T will enhance production quality. Additionally, your relevant skills Gibb CAM (or similar) and precision measuring instruments will support the development of innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- 3-5 Years experience with CNC Vertical/Horizontal Milling machines.
- Ability to design and build milling fixtures for production of new products
- Proficient in CNC programming and machining techniques, particularly with milling operations.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T principles.
- Acumen for deriving cycle times and tooling/fixturing requirements for new part processing.
- Experience with Fanuc and GibbsCAM software.
- Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments such as CMM's, Vision, calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with tooling and geometry.
