What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced IV RN needed for medical spa position at Rapid Recovery?
Rapid Recovery (an IV hydration spa in Sunnyvale, TX - www.rapidrecoveryroom.com) is looking to fill our two schedules with experienced RNs who are the "go-to" IV nurse for hard sticks, and understand "luxury experience".
We need an RN for 8-5 shifts PRN (some weekends), and an RN that can start IVs for special projects such as large parties. We will also be hiring "backup" positions who will be compensated as if "on call" who will work in the office if called, in the event our primary RN is unexpectedly absent.
This is a super cushy job. No broken bones, no screaming kids, no massive blood loss or trauma patients. You sit in a nice office, watch Netflix, and when a patient is roomed by the receptionist you greet them, chat with them about their issues, enter them into the iPad EHR system, do a brief physical to make sure they qualify, mix their IV, start it, observe, and occasionally monitor them while it runs.
This position is for someone who wants out of the hospital setting, and doesn't want to do home health. It doesn't pay what hospitals pay, but there's zero stress.
We're deadly serious about infection control, patient care, and customer service, and expect everyone to go above and beyond to give our patients a world-class experience (this is a spa after all), but it's not the usual drag of a home health/hospice/hospital.
Here's how it works: You'll work 8-5 on your scheduled days at $30/hr. IF you go over 10 IVs in a day, there's a "per IV" bonus. If you want to post to your social media, or mention us to friends and co-workers to get more appointments, we're on board.
We require an active Texas RN license with no current negative attachments, no discipline history, and extensive IV experience (5 years of dedicated IV work such as ER work). We only work with RNs experienced in IV treatments.
