Job Summary
The Clinical APP Director will act as a clinical leader toward the expanding practice opportunities for DocGo. It will involve direct input for all clinical programs that require APP oversight. The current programs have a combination of contracted providers as well as employed providers. This role will be to provide guidance, mentoring, and feedback to clinical staff within all clinical programs. The APP Director is responsible for ensuring APP staffing schedules are maximized, the team members have a resource during if needed for clinical escalation, develop and contribute to program workflows in which APPs participate. They will provide the clinical oversight for RN Managers as well.They will work collaboratively with the Medical Director and/or designee to develop and improve clinical operations; to meet patient satisfaction and quality metrics by improving systems and processes at the site. The Clinical Lead will act as a liaison between APPs, the Physician Staff, Nurse Managers and the administrative team. This role may have clinical responsibilities that may be up to 20% of the work week depending on needs and staffing support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the scheduling of all APP for all clinical initiatives
To become fluent in our EHR (AthenaHealth) to assist in the growth of our programs
An active participant and facilitator of all operational meetings including but not limited to Quality and Safety, Credentialling, Privileging, Financial, Policy and Procedures, and recruitment and retention.
Establish core competencies for the clinical staff which will create a sustainable model for initial and ongoing training.
Lead new program initiatives with leadership as project lead or advisor.
Participates in the recruitment/selection process of new clinicians and exit interviews
Provides leadership and guidance in new hire APP orientation
Participates in annual APP reviews and makes decisions pertaining to hiring and retention of personnel
Participates /Facilitates coaching, counseling, disciplining of providers
Provides training and guidance, disseminates information to clinical staff
An active member of the Quality Assurance team with reporting responsibilities.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
Minimum of five years of Advanced Practice Provider experience required with a background in managing schedules, supervision and leadership
Microsoft Office Suite
Certificates and Licenses
Board Certified and New Jersey / New York Licensure – preferred
