Overview
As a Lead Technician at Rapid Response, you will play a key role in managing water damage mitigation projects, overseeing a team of technicians, and ensuring that each job is completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for inspecting, assessing, and mitigating water damage, while also leading and training a team to deliver effective and timely solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead water damage mitigation projects from start to finish.
- Assess and inspect water damage at residential and commercial properties.
- Manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all job site activities.
- Operate and maintain water extraction, drying, and dehumidification equipment.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the scope of work and answer questions.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for insurance claims and company records.
- Maintain inventory and ensure the proper maintenance of equipment.
- Assist with on-call emergency services as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in water damage mitigation or related field.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of water damage restoration processes, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to assess and mitigate water damage effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple projects.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- IICRC certification (Water Damage Restoration) or similar certifications preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
