Place of Performance- Chinle, AZ (Indian Health Facility)

Pay-$70/Hr

Shift:

• 12.5-hour shifts, totaling 7 shifts in a 2-week period
• Includes rotating day, mid-level, night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• 30-minute lunch breaks per shift
• Nurses may not work 7 consecutive shifts

Work Days:

• Flexible scheduling based on the unit's needs

Hours Per Week:

• Approximately 87.5 hours per 2-week period

Actual Certifications Needed:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 36 months nursing experience, including 24 months in emergency nursing
• Degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program
• Active and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state, district, or territory
• Ability to pass mandatory competency assessments for ED

Vaccinations:

• Mandatory immunizations:
• Hepatitis A and B
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
• Varicella (Chickenpox)
• Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap/Td)
• Annual Influenza vaccine
• Tuberculosis testing (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-Spot Test)

Clear Job Description:

• Core Responsibilities:
• Provide a full range of emergency care for all age groups
• Use Emergency Severity Index (ESI) for triage and patient prioritization
• Administer medications, perform intravenous access, EKGs, and lab testing
• Manage emergencies, including trauma, respiratory care, and code responses
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and cultural sensitivity
• Additional Duties:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate patient care
• Document care accurately and timely per IHS, TJC, and CMS standards
• Perform quality checks, narcotic inventory, and ensure unit compliance
• Provide health education to patients and families
