Job Details
We are seeking a Travel RN to join our Medical ICU team at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. The unit has 26 beds and maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide total care to patients, including those with COVID-19
- Utilize advanced skills such as ventilator management and critical care drip knowledge
- Maintain thorough assessment skills and proficient knowledge of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems
Schedule Information
Nursing shifts are 12 hours long, from 7 AM to 7 PM, including every other weekend and holiday requirements. Self-scheduling is available within certain guidelines.
Unit Specifics
The Medical ICU performs various procedures, including intubations, cardioversions, and ventriculostomy drain placements. The unit has achieved the HCA Unit of Distinction award and prioritizes quality measures.
