This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for sports, a strong background in sales, and the ability to work cross-functionally to build successful partnerships. The Director will oversee the strategy, execution, and management of group sales and single game ticket sales efforts while fostering relationships to increase attendance, loyalty, and overall revenue.

Examples of work performed:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive group and single game ticket sales strategy aimed at increasing ticket sales revenue and attendance.
- Develop, implement, and oversee all executable action items related to the group and single game ticket sales strategy. Execute, track, and adjust sales strategies in the Group and Single Game ticket sales departments to ensure yearly ticket sales and revenue goals are met.
- Identify and prioritize key group markets that the Rapids can partner with, including corporate, schools, sports teams, and local organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders from local businesses, schools, sports organizations, and community groups to drive group ticket sales.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-value group accounts, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and experiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional content, digital campaigns, and ticket bundle offers to increase awareness and excitement around individual matches.
- Identify key sales opportunities, including special games, rivalries, and high-demand games, and create tailored strategies to maximize attendance.
- Monitor the effectiveness of promotions, analyzing results to refine and improve future campaigns.
- Work with ticketing leadership to set dynamic pricing strategies to optimize revenue while ensuring accessibility for fans.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations to create compelling offers and promotions tailored to different group segments.
- Lead and manage a high-performing group sales team, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management to the Manager of Group Sales and Group Sales Account Executives.
- Develop and execute training programs to ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.
- Track and report on group sales performance, using data to assess trends, identify opportunities, and make strategic recommendations.
- Coordinate with various departments (operations, marketing, and fan experience) to deliver customized group packages and experiences.
- Create and implement post-event strategies to foster long-term relationships and encourage repeat group sales.
- Work closely with the Ticket Sales Coordinator to help oversee the management of group ticket accounts, ensuring all ticketing, hospitality, and game-day logistics are coordinated.
- Work closely with the marketing and fan engagement teams to align group ticket sales with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
- Establish clear sales goals and KPIs and tracking performance for both the group and single game sales departments and individual ticket sales employees.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding group and single game ticket sales results, challenges, and opportunities.
- Assist Rapids sales staff in their effort to generate new sales in all ticket product lines. This may include attending meetings, visiting prospects at events, and calling potential clients.
- Plan and execute all group sales driven events.
- Regularly develop and implement sales trainings related to all ticket sales product lines.
- Establish and develop long-term client relationships.
- Directly supervise the work of the Manager of Group Sales.Responsible for hiring, promoting, training, and measuring performance of department staff.
- Must develop strong relationships between other Rapids departments and with peers.
- Assist in facilitating interviews and the hiring process for all Group Sales Representatives.
- Provide mentorship and management training to management staff.
- Actively involved in annual budget management and planning.

Qualifications:
Minimum
- BS/BA degree in field or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management role
- Minimum of 6 years in a sales capacity
- Strong computer skills and experience related to CRM (Microsoft CRM Dynamics), ticket management, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Applicants must meet qualifications at the time of hire
Preferred
- 3 years of management experience in Sports, Entertainment, or Hospitality History of managing a sales team and exceeding organizational sales goals.
- History of strong working relationships with peers and support departments.
- Ideal candidate has a proven track record of selling corporate clientele.
- Ideal candidate has experience selling group tickets and managing group events.
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Compensation:
- Base salary - $95,000
- Eligible for annual performance and discretionary based bonus
