Our Advanced Technology team is seeking a self-motivated individual with experience in trace detection instrumentation to serve as an Associate Research Scientist in the Science and Technology group. This position is full time. The applicant will support numerous research and development, and test and evaluation projects related to the deployment of ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) and / or mass spectrometry (MS) into the fields of aviation security, forensics, and first responder markets. The applicant must have the flexibility to balance multiple concurrent tasks while operating efficiently with minimal supervision. A successful candidate will be an active and contributing member of a world-class engineering design and science team based in Andover, MA.
Responsibilities :
- Lead all preparation, documentation, training, and testing efforts associated with product trials and certification tests worldwide.
- Hands-on design, fabrication, and testing of new analytical detection systems and products for homeland security applications.
- Lead and support ongoing R&D sustaining tasks for all trace products and consumables.
- Engage in technical communication, intra-group project discussion with different sites, affiliate companies or collaborators.
