Job Description:
Rappahannock Community College seeks a dedicated and experienced professional to fill the role of DMS Teaching Faculty/Clinical Coordinator. This position requires an individual with a strong background in adult cardiac sonography, along with excellent teaching and clinical coordination skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the diagnostic medical sonography program, as well as experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the classroom and laboratory settings, while also coordinating clinical experiences for students. They will work closely with the Program Director to ensure the effectiveness of the program, including managing and administering all aspects of the DMS program.
This faculty member will teach using a variety of delivery systems, including interactive video, web, and other electronic media. They will also advise students, adopt textbooks, draft course syllabi in collaboration with colleagues, and set up and maintain lab/classroom environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in the classroom and laboratory settings
- Coordinate clinical experiences for students
- Work closely with the Program Director to ensure the effectiveness of the program
- Develop and implement curriculum changes as needed
- Assist with program assessment and accreditation processes
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related field and appropriate credentials and experience specific to Adult Cardiac Sonography
- Current unencumbered RDCS or CCI certification, or willingness to obtain certification within the first 6 months of employment
- Two years of documented clinical experience as a cardiac sonographer
- Sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources
