What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooler/Warehouse Associate and Driver position at Rappahannock Oyster Co.?
Rappahannock Oyster Co. (www.rroysters.com) is a vertically integrated oyster farm and distribution company.
ROC is looking to hire a hardworking, reliable, team-oriented individual to assist in packing orders in Gloucester at our cooler and warehouse for further shipping. This job will include driving box trucks from Topping to Gloucester (about one hour) and on certain days from Gloucester to Hampton and Norfolk.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Driving a mix of 16 and 24-foot box trucks and refrigerated cargo vans
- Working in our cold room packing oysters, clams and other seafood into boxes for distribution
- Using both a forklift and pallet jack to move product
- Ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations related to receiving and shipping oysters (HACCP, DSS, etc).
- Preparing boxes and supplies for upcoming shipments
- Supporting operations by gathering and transporting supplies to our farms

Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in shipping and warehouse operations
- Experience driving box trucks
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
