This position reports directly to the Operations Manager, this position is in Platteville CO and is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of Ready-Mix concrete in the Northern area to the proper work site.

Job Title: Aggregate Plant Manager
Work Schedule: Day shift, flexible hours. Overtime as required.
Full or Part Time: Full time only
Reports to: Aggregate Operations Manager
Salary: $95,000 - $105,000
Essential Functions:
- Understanding of Sand & Gravel - Wash Plants/Dry Plants / Pit Development.
- Will supervise plant operation with a focus on Safety, Production and Environmental regulations.
- Will control and generate plant productivity reports, ensure workplace compliance of company policy & procedures, and make recommendations for increased production and repairs.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of all mobile and stationary equipment
- Ensures that the workforce complies with policies, procedures, and regulations to produce a productive labor climate at plant facilities.
- Direct supervision of others including but not limited to employee on-the-job training and safety training.
- Maintain a high degree of employee morale through problem solving.
- The short and mid-term scheduling, supervision of the plant production.
- Responsible for monitoring the performance relative to the budget.
- Ensure that hourly personnel are coached and developed through training and communication.
- Ensure that the plant is operating in compliance with all operating permits and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development of capital expenditure within the department.
- Assist in the development of the annual operating budget.
- Maintains a working relationship with other departments so that all aspects of the operation pertaining to the production department, (Sales, quality control, HR. Etc.)
- Must keep a running log on the shift’s activities. This is to include equipment down time and reasons, quality information, and a general report of the shift’s operation.
- Ensure a safe working environment through daily inspections and weekly/monthly safety meetings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operations of Aggregate Facilities
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Knowledge of MSHA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of heavy equipment including but not limited to loaders, dozers, and hydraulic excavators. Plant processing includes but not limited to water pumps, generators, electrical control components, vibratory screens, conveyors, radial stackers, cones, horizonal impactors.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to learn the methods and practices used at the locations.
- Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
