Position Summary :
The Level 1 Desktop Technician is responsible for providing first-line technical support to employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth daily operations. This role involves resolving technical problems, maintaining company devices, and escalating complex issues as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities.
- Respond to help desk tickets, phone calls, and emails to provide timely technical support.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Assist employees with system and application-related issues, including password resets and basic software support.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security patches on company computers and mobile devices.
- Maintain and track IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and inventory management.
- Identify and escalate complex technical issues to Level 2 or higher IT support.
- Follow company IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
- Create and update user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles for common IT issues.
