Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Spanish Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers.
Duties
- Provide accurate and confidential interpretation services in medical settings
- Interpret conversations between healthcare providers and patients to ensure clear communication
- Translate written materials such as medical records, documentation, and forms
- Assist with explaining medical terminology to patients
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience in interpreting in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to interpret sensitive information accurately and impartially
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey messages between parties
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Familiarity with child protective services, social work, and documentation review would be beneficial
