Position Overview

Overview: Rare Brazil Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable artisanal fishing and strengthening the governance of this activity along the Brazilian coastline. With a mission to empower and inspire collective action among communities, leaders, and other stakeholders for the sustainable management of the coastal marine ecosystem, Rare seeks to drive the completion of studies and return the results to communities, strengthening participatory management and providing information to support local fisheries management.

 

Position Overview: We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our branding, communications and design initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in marketing and communications, with creative graphic design skills. This professional will be responsible for creating and executing communications materials that reflect the organization’s identity, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of communication and marketing campaigns to promote the organization and its initiatives.
  • Support in the creation and editing of visual communication materials: This includes posts for social media, presentations, banners, and other graphic materials.
  • Coordinate the development of creative and strategic content for social media: Such as Instagram, Threads, and LinkedIn, based on reports and materials published by the organization.
  • Suggest and create new content formats by monitoring trends on major social media platforms.
  • Edit scripts and produce videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube, aligning with the organization’s communication guidelines.
  • Coordinate the distribution of newsletters and update communication channels such as WhatsApp.
  • Monitor and respond to user comments on social media, ensuring active engagement and relationship-building with the audience.
  • Ensure the organization's visual identity is consistently maintained across all materials and platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Development & Engagement teams to develop content aligned with institutional strategies.
  • Participate in the creation and management of digital content for social media, websites, and other communication platforms.
  • Track the performance of digital communication campaigns, providing insights for improvements and helping to create reports on social media reach.
  • Coordinate design vendors, ensuring that socio-marketing materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure that the requests from the implementation team are met within the established deadlines.
  • Report directly to the Senior Associate, Development & Engagement.

   

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social communication, graphic design, Visual Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in coordination roles in marketing, communication, and design.
  • Strong creative skills and a proven ability to create attractive and impactful institutional designs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of design principles, typography, colors, and layout.
  • Experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design tools.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high standard of quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Passion for innovation, creativity, and visual excellence.
