Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
- Prepare examination rooms for appointments.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws and urinalysis.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment.
- Provide compassionate care and support to both animals and their owners.
- Assist with client education on topics such as nutrition, grooming, and basic healthcare.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
