Reporting to the President, Chief Hospital Executive, the Vice President, Operations - OBMC/ RBMC is accountable for collaborating with other senior executives in developing and executing the strategic plan of the Medical Center. An integral member of the site Executive Team, this position is accountable for defining, planning, implementing, evaluating and advancing through innovation and research, the professional standards and care delivery systems as they directly relate to the operations for the Medical Center. In addition, the Vice President is responsible for tailoring and implementing network-level strategy for the medical center. The Vice President oversees programmatic growth, development and performance in all areas of outlined responsibilities at the Medical Center and as assigned. Functions as the coordinator of all administrative operations and fiscal responsibilities providing solutions, leadership and administration of staff, etc., and assuring the Departments are kept in compliance with all regulatory and facility requirements. Responsible for achieving high patient, physician and employee satisfaction. Enhances quality through strong performance improvement programs. Maintains current knowledge of the hospital departments under direction, trends in healthcare and standards of care. Provides an optimum environment for health enhancement and staff development within areas of oversight. Ensures leaders and team members have the skills and training to perform within acceptable guidelines and expectations. Utilizes an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to enhance quality, efficiency, access and financial growth of each department assigned in alignment with the medical center and departmental organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Advanced/post-graduate/Master degree
- Minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience.
- Excellent financial management, delegation and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
- Strong strategic planning skills
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with colleagues, personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public and possess an understanding of people and a sense of accountability, fairness, and consistency
- Established analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Established coaching skills that inspire team members, leaders and physicians to execute and comply with network strategies.
- Capacity to collaborate with diverse populations of team members and physicians to gain consensus and achieve results.
- Proven writing, public speaking and presentation skills.
