Private Music Instructor

About the Position:

Raritan Music Center is seeking a passionate and skilled music teacher to join our team! Music teachers at RMC teach one-on-one private lessons, specializing in one or more of the following instruments: piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, woodwinds, brass, and voice. We are looking for someone who can teach students of all ages and experience levels. Our music teachers are also expected to create customized lesson plans to help students meet their musical goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach one-on-one music lessons.
• Create lesson plans to suit the individual needs and goals of each student.
• Create a positive learning environment for all students.
• Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with students and their families.
• Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust lesson plans as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field.
• Proficiency in teaching one or more of the following: piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, woodwinds, brass, or voice.
• Ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Experience in customizing lesson plans and adapting to individual student needs.
• Reliable and professional behavior and a passion for music.

Pay: $29.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
