Job Responsibilities
- Research, implement, and support server operating systems and related applications.
- Administer Microsoft Windows-based enterprise computing systems in both virtual and physical environments.
- Manage day-to-day administration tasks for the college servers, both physical and virtual.
- Proactively administer existing Windows Servers with a focus on security, reliability, and scalability within a VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission-critical host computer resources.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Microsoft Windows server administration, configuration, and upgrades. Additionally, they should possess expertise in Active Directory Group Policy design and configuration, as well as server virtualization technologies, including VMWare Server/ESX.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience, is required. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of completing projects with Active Directory, Server Migrations (P2V & V2V), and provisioning virtual servers.
