Job Summary:
The Supervisor Trainee is a leadership development role designed to prepare individuals for a supervisory position within the meat production plant. The trainee will work closely with experienced supervisors and plant management to learn operational best practices and gain the necessary skills to lead a production team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and assist in overseeing daily meat production processes, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.
- Support and supervise production line workers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Train in monitoring product quality and compliance with USDA and company food safety standards.
- Assist in enforcing health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Learn scheduling, staffing, and labor management to optimize productivity.
- Assist with inventory management, waste reduction, and raw material utilization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with maintenance for equipment-related concerns.
- Develop leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to prepare for a supervisory role.
- Participate in employee coaching, discipline, and performance management under the guidance of senior supervisors.
