Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist VP Marketing in managing, directing and leading marketing department staff to drive aligned brand strategies.
- Assist in developing and managing budgets to support brand strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct & analyze market research to uncover market needs, opportunities, and trends.
- Direct efforts to identify new prospects, develop prospects into consumers, retain and expand sales with existing consumers.
- Assist in planning and coordination of all brand communications including: Print, Digital, Social Advertising & Tracking, Web, Video Content Development, Publicity, Press Releases, Retail and Dealer Support, Case Studies and all associated branded media.
- Assist in planning and coordination for trade shows to include promotions, equipment, supervision of booth assembly and tear-down, management of corporate exhibit properties, etc.
- Evaluate, select, and manage vendors used for outsourcing opportunities.
- Assist in the efforts to educate Sales team, end users and employees on new brand strategies, campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Promote teamwork amongst partner teams, to include digital marketing, product development, sales, and accounting groups.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related area—fishing and/or outdoor industry experience preferred.
- At least five years in marketing including track record regarding increasing responsibilities, leadership experience and exceptional performance.
- PMP Certificate or relevant training/experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide a marketing team.
- Ability to research and understand consumer and market trends and develop strategies accordingly.
- Able to produce results with minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess top level business management, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
