Dispensary Technician/Product Technician

- General requirements:

Position Summary/Objective:
The Dispensary Technician will assist the Ratio Management team with daily activities and operations of the dispensary while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
This role assists patients in selecting appropriate products for purchase, preparing orders, executing transactions, cash handling, and customer service.
Candidates must be able to cater to experienced and inexperienced patients by providing product knowledge with particular emphasis on the patients’ outcomes and quality of life. Candidates must continuously further their education about each product to dedicate full attention to patients' needs, thereby effectively communicating the connection between the effects of the products for optimum patient outcomes.
Potential candidates must possess; a strong ethical compass, be detail-orientated, always adhere to compliance, be capable of handling high-stress situations, be team-orientated, and be knowledgeable in an assortment of modalities as well as product knowledge.

The Product Technician is centered around immense attention to detail concerning data entry and receiving deliveries. This position is mainly back-of-house. Candidates can be considered for both job positions. Versatility is a plus!
Responsibilities:
· Adhere to the company mission statement and core values, maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
· Be an active learner and contribute to the Ratio Cannabis knowledge library
· Greet all patients in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
· Consistently deliver the ultimate customer experience in all facets from patient entry to exit; Ensure each patient receives full attention during their transaction
· Maintain quality customer service by establishing and enforcing company standards and handling patient inquiries and complaints
· Guide patients throughout the sales floor within the dispensary, making product recommendations based on patients' needs and available products
· Assist patients with choosing the right products according to their ailments
· Ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently with 100% accuracy at all times
· Operate cash register, computer-based POS system, and cash drawer
· Adhere to company standard operating procedures
· Verify patient allotment and ensure he/she is eligible to make purchases using the state system
· Maintain proper cash handling procedures at all times
· Maintain, stock, and clean POS counters at all times
· Ensure POS counters are ready when the dispensary opens
· Abide by product handling procedures, including company safety and health policies as well as Regulatory agency compliance
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary by stocking retail items and supplies, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing
· Work as part of a team to ensure sales and patient satisfaction, compliance goals are met by designated timelines
· Ensure opening and closing cleaning and organization are completed
· Participate in periodic staff meetings
· Manage inbound phone inquiries and route calls accordingly
· Adhere to all medical cannabis laws
· Work collaboratively and respectively with other team members
· Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
· Read industry publications to keep up to date on trends
· Additional duties as assigned by management
State Requirements & Application Process:
· 21 years of age or older
· Submission of the dispensary license application
· A 2”x2” head and shoulder photograph captured within the previous six months
· Copy of government-issued ID
· Applicant’s full residential address
· An attestation statement that the applicant has not been convicted of a disqualifying offense in any jurisdiction. First-degree misdemeanors and felonies are disqualifying offenses for the position. Ohio Administrative Code, 3796: 1-1-01 lists all automatic disqualifying offenses that would prevent an individual from obtaining an employee license. The listed offenses under this rule will not automatically disqualify an applicant from licensure if the applicant was convicted of or pleaded guilty to the offense more than five years before the date the application for licensure is filed.

Background Check Requirements:
· Prospective dispensary employees “must submit fingerprint impressions to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) for a criminal records check.”
· Additionally, “the criminal records check performed by BCI&I shall consist of both a BCI&I criminal records check and a federal bureau of investigation (FBI) criminal records check. BCI&I shall send the results of the BCI&I and FBI records check directly to the state board of pharmacy.”
Qualifications:
· Minimum of a high school degree/GED is required
Experience:
· Experience in the health care, and retail industry preferred.
· Work experience within the cannabis industry is a huge plus, but it's not required
· Genuine passion for helping others
· Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence their surroundings; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
· Detail-oriented with an eye on the process and knowledge base optimization

· Manage high-stress situations by being flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
· Proficiency in computer usage, including point-of-sale software

· Knowledge of cannabis strains, formulations, extracts, and other products on the market
Other Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
· Throughout extended periods must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday.
· Must be capable of working in front of a computer for long periods.
Compensation:
· $15 per hour
· State Mandated testing for BCI&I and FBI backgrounds checks will be requested by Ratio upon hire
· Immediate reimbursement of background check fees.
· No reimbursement for failure to disclose disqualifying offenses
