Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality patient care within our facility. The Charge Nurse will be responsible for coordinating patient care, managing nursing operations, and providing leadership to nursing teams. Duties
- Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering patient care.
- Coordinate patient transfers.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as PCC for documentation and patient management.
- Conduct assessments and update individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of new nursing staff.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing role, preferably in Geriatrics, critical care, or behavioral health settings.
- Proficiency in medication administration and wound treatments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.
