- Monday-Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Some overtime may be required
Job summary
This position requires an individual with the capability and willingness to setup, operate, and maintain production CNC and manual equipment. The job will involve manually changing, positioning, and adjusting machine components and tooling. Further, determining/selecting operational programs, entering/adjusting offsets, and parameter settings. Lastly, the manipulation of physical components or program/offset editing to acquire and maintain parts in accordance with established quality expectations.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain safe operations by adhering and administering compliance to established safety procedures and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, process drawings, or prescribed product specifications to determine sequence, and methods of fabrication, assembly, and finishing of the product.
- Oversee and initiate the setting-up of machines and work cells in compliance with established written procedures and common practices with the results being quality products and trouble-free production runs.
- Direct and monitor other employees assisting in the machine conversion process to ensure efficient and effective work practices are being administered.
- Evaluate initial part runs to ensure optimal machine performance is achieved and correct any issues that may be detrimental to production.
- Develop, evaluate, test, and document processes, techniques, and equipment, for new or existing processes to ensure safety, quality, output, and process capabilities are maximized.
- Responsible for loading/unloading parts, operating controls, and inspection of parts to ensure proper conformance.
- Monitor and maintain equipment; perform preventative maintenance duties, troubleshoot malfunctions. and make repairs as needed within the scope of the position authorization.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of department and facilities.
- Accomplish organization goals and accept ownership of the tasks.
- Operate equipment in a production mode as needed.
- Operates a forklift and/or lifting devices for movement of support equipment, tooling, or materials.
- Perform other duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to understand dimensional drawings, work instructions, specifications, and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and operational requirements.
- Proficient with computer office products and computer machine interfaces
- Knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication
- Proficient knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machines, and industrial equipment.
- Proficient with the operation of forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Proficient with standard mathematical analysis (geometry and Trigonometry, preferred)
- Ability to follow work instructions both verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks under pressure and within time constraints
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Salary
- $25-$30 per hour based upon experience
