What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Rauhorn Electric?
Mon – Sat: 4:00pm – 12:00am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain Rauhorn Buildings, Shop, Building A and Building B which may include Office areas, hallways, restrooms, kitchens, and stairways.
- Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors
- Regularly check trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Notify Office Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceiling, and walls
- Polish hard surfaces, e.g. woodwork, stainless steel surfaces, front lobby
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas. Clean out Fridge on Friday nights.
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms (clean and polish as needed)
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience as a Custodian (2 years preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in written and oral format to administrative staff, professional colleagues, governing boards
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Ability to independently problem- solve
- Ability to speak, read and write the structure and content of the English language
- Ability to speak clearly so that others can understand you while being pleasant and welcoming
- Possesses qualities of active listening, coordination, social perceptiveness, critical thinking, initiative, time-management, stress tolerance, adaptability/flexibility, cooperation, dependability independence, and attention to detail
- Must have Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
