Description
The Senior Oil & Gas Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising the outsourcing entity along with an accounting assistant and a production technician while actively collaborating with internal personnel and staff as needed. This role is responsible for reviewing and approving Joint Interest Billings, revenue distribution of funds, sales reports and projections, Lease Operating Statements for presentation at quarterly executive meetings for approximately 40 operated wells and 70 non-operated wells.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the President of Operations.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers and approve the processing of Joint Interest Billings and revenue distribution, gas balancing reports, and payouts.
- Provide exceptional support to vendors while maintaining strong, professional relationships with owners and partners.
- Communicate effectively and provide training and guidance on new programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies, and established work procedures.
- Provide coverage for absent employees when necessary.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5–10 years of accounting experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and scheduling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Capability to develop and implement new procedures as needed.
- Maintain a polished and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Highly organized, disciplined, and possessing a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime when necessary (Infrequently)
