We are looking for a highly motivated and dependable Certified Dental Assistant to work in our office, located in Waterbury, CT. Full time up to 35 hours. Monday-Thursday and some weekends. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
