Mays Chemical, a Ravago company, is currently recruiting for a Facility and Security Supervisor based out of the Indianapolis facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, performing routine building repairs and maintenance of all facilities, acts as the primary contact for all facilities for any building issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidate will perform building maintenance tasks in the following fields: plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the facility
Coordinate maintenance upkeep on landscaping and snow removal
Ensure safe work practices and procedures are observed
Work with outside contractors and/or vendors for various services
Perform general cleaning, train and manage a small workforce
Work effectively with all levels of management, customers, suppliers and company personnel; interacting with both internal and external customers in a professional and diplomatic manner
Manage security and other operational areas of the facilities
Manage the Preventative Maintenance program
Practice the principles of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines
Education/Experience:
Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred or equivalent years' experience plus five years of experience in facility maintenance required
Proficient with Microsoft applications and have
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong organization, leadership, time management
Ownership of repair and preventative maintenance projects; with excellent decision-making abilities and strong analytical and problem identification/resolution skills
Team player; able to delegate and also manage and prioritize multiple projects within operational demands and deadline constraints
Maintain clean workplace; inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs and maintenance
Perform minor electrical maintenance to include, but not limited to, replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, fluorescent bulbs and bulbs, ballast, sockets, fuses)
Use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools; and minor plumbing maintenance and painting
Successfully develop outstanding customer and supplier relationships
Ability to set and maintain quality goals and objectives that are consistent with company goals and objectives
